Turners Crossing was established when business owner Phil Bennett and Vigneron Paul Jenkins discovered the land for the vineyard on the banks of the Loddon River in Victoria’s historic Bendigo region in 2002
In 1997, the Lawson family established their first block of Shiraz vines in the deep, sandy clay loam soils, at their Avondale property, along the banks of the Loddon River in Victoria Australia.
Since the first Shiraz was released in 1974, we here at Water Wheel have been producing excellent, rich red wines as well as refreshing white wines.
We’re always looking at new vineyard sites and varieties, and alternative winemaking styles to keep our wines interesting and exciting.
